About Dylan

Dylan is an 18 year old from England who is currently living in Leicestershire. Studying Media & Digital Arts at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, Dylan aspires to work anywhere within the media industry. Dylan spends most of his days (when not at college) volunteering at Castle Mead Radio in Hinckley. He handles all technical aspects of the station including online streaming, OBs, servers, RDS and more. He also talks on air from-time-to-time, handles their social media accounts and helps to market the station. Dylan has understands HTML5, JavaScript (Basic), CSS3, AJAX (Basic), PHP, MySQL, SEO and has a lot of experience with WordPress and Drupal.

Since 2011 Dylan has won various awards within the media industry that has helped him make contacts within the industry and get hands-on experience.

February 2011 – Dylan won a competition with KISS FM UK to go to London to take part in a course on social media and camera operating. At this event Dylan was a camera op at a Mz. Bratt concert. He also did sound for a Moonrunners interview and filmed Adam Decon (Director, KiDULTHOOD, AdULTHOOD).

March 2011 – Dylan went to Germany as part of an exchange between two schools to film the week, edit and build a presentation that was shown to both schools (In two different countries and in different languages). Going to another country to film, often outside and on-location was an amazing experience for Dylan and he took a lot from it.

December 2011 – Dylan was invited over to London to take part in a TV Experience Day. Over this day Dylan got hands-on experience with studio etiquette, live editing, professional studio cameras and broadcasting.
